OMG another event in my fun filled life. A chipped windscreen on my car
Today I had to go down to work to get my wallet that i’d left esterday evening (a mere 50 mile drive) so decided to take my camera and go for a walk/go the scenic route back. But not long after having got my wallet back, a bloody stone came up and chipped my windscreen, kind of making me want to just go home and ring to get it sorted
Bloody cars, if it needs a new windscreen it’ll cost me a £75 excess, and they won’t be able to get to me till monday
Oh well, hopefully I can get some decent shots tomorrow, I have an idea for a conceptual shot that I need to do in the morning, lets see how that gets on.

So this week started off pretty darn good … I was at a Nine Inch Nails gig on Monday night, which by the way was absolutley amazing
I’ve never been a huge NIN fan, however, this gig kind of turned my opinion around from thinking they were “ok” to thinking they are amazing performers. They had a great prescense on stage and really engaged the crowd, as well as playing a very good set. The one support act we got to see were good too, but their on-stage prescense wasn’t up to much (bloody good music though, band called ladytron).
Apart from that it’s just been work work work
Hopefully with not having anything planned for this weekend I can just get out into the lakes or the city and get some use out of the brand new camera I purchased last week
A good excuse is to go back down to work to pick up my wallet I forgot to get before I left the office this evening.

So this week I’ve been doing a RHEL course (easy peasy RHCT); and have been quite bored as it was easy, and things that I really have to have already known to do my job :-), so it came as no surprise to me when i passed, with very very little effort. This pass was also a pass mark of no less than 100%!
What’s better though is that I have finally bought my camera :D, and oh dear is it shiney. not really had much chance to go for a random walk to take some shots yet. I did plan on going for a walk in the altringham countryside this lunch but decided that spilling coffee down me in the exam break was more fun. Woo. Maybe if I get up early enough I can catch the early morning light and go get some photos …

Well well well, last night really was pretty random.
Friend Trout mentioned how the epoxies were playing at the Royal Oak in Poulton. Decding I had nothing better to do with my tuesday evening, I went along for a look.
Totally random, there were a couple of support acts, who’s names I unfortunately can’t remember, the ones who were a bit more proper punk than the rest were ace as tits.
Now, not being an epoxies fan and never having listened to them, I wasn’t sure what to expect. They were rather good, and put on a fun show, so pretty good really. I did wonder why they had gone from supporting NoFX a couple of years ago, to doing small tiny gigs in random pubs in the UK, whatever, they should at least be playing academy I reckon in manchester.
Anyway. My mood for the 0 people who read this, and wonder, is rather good atm, as I’m also going to be purchasing my EOS 400D on friday, YAY! I’ve had jessops in Blackpool put a black one behind for me to pickup on Friday afternoon once I’ve got back from Altingham (more on that in a minute). Also ordered a 4GB OEM CF Card for my camera, hell yeah, only 21 quid incl. postage, should do me a while
This work week has been boring as watching shit dry. Thanks mainly to doing a RedHat training course that is just re-iterating things that I already must know for my job. So it’s been a fun 60 miles per way journey every day to do something that’s not really been that interesting. Gutted.
Oh well, more rants in the wonderful world of the christoph-gee some other time, bye!

What a day …
Working from home can be great, IE getting up 2 minutes before turning your laptop on and “getting to work” is good, however, trying to get some revision done for the course I have next week, was impossible
It seems that so much stuff I touch at work at the moment has problems I’m having to fix, grrr, and through no fault of my own.
Good news is though that there’s quite a few gigs to go to soon, and it’s my birthday next week
Shame I’m working away in altringham all week, but hopefully should be able to get out and have a few celebratory drinks.
Had news today too, that Mindless Self Indulgence are doing a gig in Nottingham, aswell as their “Give me a name” gig dates too, oh yeah!! Hopefully that should be fricking awesome, if we can get a few folks together and make a weekend of it (really not up for driving 150 miles to the gig and then 150 miles back in one night.)
Oh well, back to planning my weekend
